Mack Poole

Mack Poole of 409 Rice Avenue (Heartland Heath-Care Center), passed away peacefully on 8/03/2020, due to natural causes. He was born August 5, 1929 to The late Agnes Glenn of Union, SC.

Mack served honorably in The U.S. Army for two years during the Korean War. He later attended Denmark Technical College in Orangeburg, SC where he earned certifications as both a barber and shoe repairman. He later went on to complete 20 plus years as the lone master shoe repairman at Fort Jackson, SC.

Mack was married to The late Frazell Johnson Poole of Columbia, SC, and they are survived by two children, Ronnie Poole (Tracy) of Anchorage, AL; and Randy Poole (Donna) of Fredericksburg, VA. Mack also fathered six surviving children with his fist wife Katie Hughes Poole of Columbia, SC Maxine Poole Brown of Columbia, SC Larry Poole (Audrey) of Clinton, MD; Joyce Poole Boyd (Leon) of Lugoff, SC; Freddie Poole (Doris) of Columbia, SC; Kenny Poole of Columbia, SC; and Sandra Poole of Columbia, SC. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.

Mack was preceded in death by his late mother, Agnes Glenn, And four siblings; the late Myrtle Glenn of Union, SC; the late Queen Glenn of Union, SC; the Agnes Glenn of Union, SC; and the Late Douglas T. Glenn of Union, SC.
