Joann Byrd

JOANN BYRD was born November 22, 1969, in Union, South Carolina to the late Mr. Arthur and the late Mrs. Pearlie Byrd. She ascended into Heaven on Wednesday, May 31, 2023.
Joann was a member of Mitchell Chapel Christian Church in Union, SC. She was a graduate of USC Columbia majoring in Pharmacy and worked as a cosmetologist for almost 20 years.
Joann was a giver, moderator, provider, and guider and also had a heart of “Gold”.
She was predeceased by her parents; a sister, Willie Ruth; and a brother, Vernon Byrd.
Joann is survived by her life-long partner: William Thompson; five sisters: Annie, Agnes (Pernel) Thompson, Martha, Mary, and Dorothy Byrd; five brothers: Andrew, Robert, Lee Arthur, Monroe Byrd, and Roosevelt Sims; nieces: Andrea, Aliyah, Armani, Dequinta, and Shanta Byrd; nephews: Tykeezie, Tayshaun, Jerome, Quincey, Chyance, Andrew Jr, Robert Byrd, Jr., and Marcus; a host of other great-nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
